If you're figuring out where to eat near Honda Center this season, the short answer is to plan around the arena's own stands plus a small number of nearby places you can confirm. OCVibe's restaurants are on the way, but they open in stages. OCVibe's October 22 release says the first phase "begins opening to the public in early 2027," the standalone restaurants begin opening in late 2027, and the district is fully complete in 2033. That leaves this entire Ducks season, and likely more, to eat with what's here now.
When will OCVibe restaurants open?
Per OCVibe, the first openings in early 2027 are the district's 5,000-capacity concert hall and Katella Commons (PR Newswire, Oct. 22, 2026). Honda Center's 2026-27 season release puts the concert hall opening in March and says Phase 1 will begin opening in early 2027.
Katella Commons is a 50,000-square-foot market hall with 21 chef-driven kitchens. OCVibe's August 24 release says it "will welcome guests in early 2027," and Commercial Observer reported the same timing. No specific opening day has been announced.
Announced Katella Commons concepts include Don Churros Gomez, MFK | Modern Filipino Kitchen, Mojo, Pull & Roll and Gelato Paradiso, along with Amiga Amore, Burritos La Palma, Evil Cooks, Manaao Thai Comfort Food, OC Pizza Cult and Wanderfowl. The last two come from Chef Zach Scherer of DARKROOM (OCVibe). FOX 11 LA reported six bar and lounge concepts for the hall and named four: Bar Bacchia, Vesper Lounge, Barrel Bar and Rea's Ranch.
Beyond the market hall, OCVibe's lineup includes Tim Hollingsworth's wood-fire concept, Roy Choi's Best Friend, Osen Urban Table and a José Andrés restaurant at the SENA hotel. The October release groups Hollingsworth's restaurant with the standalone restaurants beginning to open in late 2027 and gives no individual opening dates for the others.
What food is inside Honda Center?
More than you might expect, sorted by section. Honda Center's site now lives at OCVibe, and the arena is operated by Anaheim Arena Management, LLC, "an OCVIBE company." Its official Food & Drink page lists these stands:
-
Anaheim Pizza Co. (Sections 203 and 419): deep-dish pizza
-
Wild Wings (212)
-
Blue Line Taqueria (219)
-
Arena Classics (226): burgers, with a Beyond patty option
-
El Patito (404): tacos and masa quesadillas
-
Sweet Spot Soft Serve (408): Straus Creamery organic soft serve
-
Feather & Flame (426): smoked turkey and tri-tip
-
Bottle Logic bar (433)
-
The Crispy Catch (434): fish and chips, gumbo
-
BreweryX Draft Picks (437)
-
Slapshot Grill (441)
For local beer, Bottle Logic and Brewery X are the names to look for. Brewery X's locations page lists a Honda Center stand and an Angel Stadium stand, plus its Taproom & Biergarten at 3191 East La Palma Ave in Anaheim (the page does not list hours, so check before you go).
On the club level, the same page lists The Wine Cellar Preserved by Sub-Zero (Section 324) with 270+ wines and sommeliers. The North Veranda (Section 321) is only for Columbia Bank Club Level ticketholders.
What's new for the 2026-27 season?
According to the season release, the Tito's Handmade Vodka space at Section 415 serves cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine. Executive Chef Cesar Regalado's team added dishes including the Griddle Double Stacker at Section 441. Still to come "later in the season" are Modelo Puck Draft Picks at Section 210, a Coors Light Cold Zone and a Jack Daniel's Backstage Bar. No dates were given for those, so don't count on them for your next game yet.
What is the Modelo Puck Drop Patio?
It's a ticketed outdoor area on the arena's north side that runs at Anaheim Ducks games only, not at concerts or other events. Per the official page, fans "are welcome to enter and re-enter the arena and bring food inside" from the patio.
Are all Honda Center stands open right now?
Not necessarily. Honda Center is in the middle of Honda Center Encore, described as a "$1 billion transformation," with construction continuing through 2027 while events go on (season release). The Food & Drink page says which stands and bars are open, and what they serve, varies by event, and some are temporarily adjusted. If you have your heart set on a specific stand, check that page before the event and have a backup in mind.
Where can I get a sit-down meal near Honda Center?
The nearby option we could confirm with an operator source is King's Fish House at 1521 West Katella in Orange (just across the city line, not in Anaheim). Its official page calls it "minutes away from Angels Stadium and the Honda Center." The phone number is 714.771.6655. Listed hours are Sunday and Monday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For Friday and Saturday, call the restaurant before you plan a pregame meal.
Fan guides name other spots along Katella, but we couldn't confirm their current status, hours or addresses with the operators, so they aren't listed here.
The resident's takeaway
Think of OCVibe as a 2027 story. Katella Commons and the concert hall are the first pieces, the standalone restaurants follow from late 2027, and the full district takes until 2033. For this Ducks season, plan around the arena's section-by-section stands, the patio at Ducks games and a confirmed nearby table like King's Fish House.
